I started this blog without really knowing what I was doing. Imagine my delight, then, when I saw that Strode College in Street – not far from where I live – was running a 2-day course on WordPress as part of their summer school programme.
What an experience! I was one of a small group of blog novices keen to get to grips with WordPress for a variety of reasons – setting up a small business, promoting local wildlife reserves or creating a website devoted to a holiday chalet in France. Or in my case, promoting my blog.
By the end of the second day, tutor Kev Cook had helped all of us overcome our beginners’ nerves, launching us out into the great blogosphere (!)
I didn’t want to mess around with the blog you’re looking at now, so I set up another one for the purposes of the training course, devoted to my work-in-progress, The Shame of Innocence – and, surprise surprise, called Theshameofinnocence. If you want to take a look at it, you’re more than welcome, but I won’t be adding to it, hoping instead to put what I learnt into practice on THIS site.
